Toward a Unified Understanding of Complex Systems
This corpus proposes a unified reading of complex systems based on the conditions of emergence, transformation, stability, and loss of coherence. Rather than beginning with observable phenomena, it focuses on the latent dynamics that make those phenomena possible and govern their evolution through time.
Within this perspective, reality is not considered a fixed or directly accessible entity. Observable states emerge as temporary stabilizations resulting from interactions between memory, constraints, selection mechanisms, and regime dynamics. What appears is therefore not the origin of a process, but the expression of an achieved coherence within a broader field of possibilities.
The framework articulates several fundamental dimensions: memory, constraints, regimes, observability, and temporality. Memory acts as an active structural operator shaping future trajectories. Constraints define the space of possible and observable configurations. Regimes correspond to conditional equilibria capable of persisting under specific structural conditions.
Transitions are interpreted not as isolated ruptures but as shifts between regimes. System dynamics are continuous, often invisible before becoming observable, and governed by processes of accumulation, adaptation, and reorganization. What appears sudden is frequently the visible manifestation of a long and silent transformation.
The Crowd-Based Dynamics (CBD) framework extends this perspective by integrating accumulation processes, mimetic propagation, saturation mechanisms, critical thresholds, and limits of governability. Collective phenomena are therefore understood as structured systemic dynamics rather than isolated events or simple reactions.
Together, the three publications develop a coherent theoretical architecture linking observability, memory, regime formation, and complex system transformation. Their objective is to provide a common analytical language applicable to physical, cognitive, informational, collective, and artificial systems.
By connecting emergence, stability, adaptation, irreversibility, and systemic transformation within a unified framework, this corpus contributes to the broader effort of developing a general theory of complex systems and constrained reality.
